You’re probably thinking, “Wait, Dalmatian? Like the dog?” You bet! And let’s face it, 101 Dalmatians can’t be wrong about how fantastic this region is! But unlike the spotted doggos, Dalmatia’s not just black and white – it’s a vibrant palette of experiences waiting to be explored.

Our first stop is Sinj, a town so steeped in history, it might just be ‘past’ its prime! Jokes aside, Sinj is home to the famous annual Sinjska Alka, a knight tournament. Picture this: Men in traditional costumes riding horses at full gallop, aiming lances at a metal ring – talk about ‘horsing’ around! And don’t worry, no real knights are harmed in the making of this event.

Just around the bend, we have the stunning Lake Peruća. Rumor has it, this place is so breathtaking, even the fish occasionally forget to breathe! (Don’t worry, they’re gill-ty as charged, but they’re just ‘fin’). Whether you’re keen on fishing or just wish to laze around by the water’s edge, this lake is the perfect ‘plaice’ for you.

Next, let’s head to the small town of Vrlika. Now, don’t let its size fool you. This town may be small, but it’s got a ‘lot’ to offer! It’s the home of the ancient Prozor Fortress, which gives you a view so grand; it might just be the ‘pinnacle’ of your trip.

While you’re there, don’t miss the chance to visit the local parish church of St. Nicholas. It’s so beautiful; it might just make you feel ‘holier’ than thou. Just be careful not to ring the church bell, or you’ll be accused of causing a ‘clanger’!
